Evidence Act, 1872–Sec. 28 [ Corresponding Sec. 22 of BSA, 2023 ]–Extra judicial confession–Significance of–The extra-judicial confession should be relied upon for the purpose of the conviction only then there are no material contradictions and discrepancies in the testimony of the material witnesses of the prosecution as before the Trial Court–If there are serious con-radictions and infirmities, the Trial Court should desist from recording the conviction.
