Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973–Secs. 173(8)–Direction of further investigation–Scope for issuing–In the scheme of Code, the Magistrate has ample powers and jurisdiction to direct further investigation whenever the Court comes to conclusion that investigation by the Investigation Agency is either lopsided or suffers from lackadaisical, and in order to reveal the truth and to unearth the hidden facts, further investigation is deemed necessary.
