Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973–Sec. 167(2)–Default Bail–Scope for granting–On expiry of the period of 60, 90 or 180 days or as the case may be, an indefeasible right accrues in favour of the accused for his release on default bail by the investigating agency on non-submission of the charge-sheet within the prescribed period and the accused is entitled to be released on bail, if he is ready and willing to furnish bail bonds.
