Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973–Sec. 311–Scope–Criminal Court at any stage of inquiry, trial, or proceeding may summon anyone as a witness or examine any person present in the Court or re-call or re-examine any person whose evidence has already been recorded, if his evidence appears to be
essential to the just decision of the case.
