Penal Code, 1860–Sec. 376–Conviction–Appreciation of–Statements of prosecutrix are found supported with the statements of PW 1 & 2–Prompt FIR–Merely because the doctor opined that the injuries sustained by her may be self inflicted, it cannot give any benefit to the appellants–Her clothes were stained with semen–Held, conviction was justified–Further held, sentence cannot be reduced in view of the facts that the appellants were working as police constables and they committed the rape with a village girl.
