Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989–Sec. 3(2)(v)–Words “on the ground”–Preview of–Prosecution is required to prove that the target of crime was selected on the ground that the victim belongs to SC/ST or the crime was committed for the reason that he/she belongs to such community.
