Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881–Sec. 143A [Effected from 01.09.2018]–Whether the amended provision contained in Sec. 143A would apply on the complaint filed prior to enactment and enforcement of this provision ?–Held, no–Section 143A has its prospective effect and the same is applicable upon the complaints filed after 01.09.2018 i.e. after enactment of Sec. 143A–In the instant case, the complaints were filed prior to 01.09.2018–Direction of Trial Court to petitioners to pay 20% of the cheque amount is liable to be quashed.
