Penal Code, 1860–Sec. 376–Sentence–Reduction of–Prior to the amended Act of 2013, discretion was vested with the Court to impose imprisonment for a term of less than seven years for adequate and special reasons to be recorded in the judgment–Trial Court sentenced the appellant with the period of four years exercising the discretion–Occurrence relates back to the year 1989 and appellant has undergone for a period of two years–He suffered the mental agony and trauma of protracted trial–Sentence is reduced up to the period of already undergone.
