Rajasthan Prisons (Shortening of Sentences) Rules, 2006–Rules 8, 11 & 12–A prisoner who has completed actual sentence of 14 years in the case of conviction who is sentenced for life imprisonment and his jail remission is of two years six months, is entitled for consideration for premature release–Petitioner has been granted the remission of two years and six months–No adverse report has been submitted by the Police Department and Social Welfare Department–Rejection of the petitioner’s case was merely on the basis of presumption that he murdered his mother–Directed for prematurely release of the petitioner.
