Registration Act, 1908–Sec. 17–Scope–Section provides for the documents that have to be compulsorily registered and under the sub-clause (1)(b), it has been clearly specified that all such non-testamentary instruments which purport to operate or create, declare, assign, limit, or extinguish any right, title or interest in the present or in the future, whether vested, or contingent, and of the value of Rs. 100/- and above, to or in immovable properties, requires compulsory registration.
