Evidence Act, 1872–Sec. 27–Scope–Only such statements which lead to recovery of incriminating material from a place and solely and exclusively within the knowledge of the maker thereof would be admissible in evidence –The dead body was found much prior to the recording of the memorandum of the appellant u/s. 27–Therefore, only the part of the statement which leads to the recovery of the dagger and the riksha would be relevant.
