Motor Vehicles Act, 1988–Sec. 2(30)–Vehicle which was not insured and was under the requisition of State Govt., caused the accident–Liability of paying compensation–Respondent-State was covered under the definition of the owner as the vehicle was under its requisition–Regd. the owner could not behold liable because the vehicle was not in his possession–Further, the respondent-State violated the provisions of Sec. 146–Held, State is liable for paying the amount of compensation.
