Partition–An unregistered document described as palupatti which records a family arrangment–Declined to rely upon–Even if it is unregistered, it is admissible for the limited collateral purposes of proving disruption of joint status and explaining the nature of subsequent possesssion and enjoyment–Plaintiff no. 1 admitted his signatures on it–The writing bears the attestation of panchayatdars and was written by the village accountant–Several subsequent events are based on it–Under Hindu Law, severance of joint status can be brought about an unequivral declaration reduced in writing or otherwise, and a writing evidencing such disruption is admissible to prove the fact of disruption, the arrangement and the character of subsequent pos-session–Document qualifies for collateral use–Approach of Courts below is erroneous.
