Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989–Secs. 3(1)(r) & 3(1)(s)–If has been alleged in the complaint that when the complainant was in his office, the accused came there, enquired with him and not being satisfied, started abusing him in the name of his caste and insulted him–Thereafter, three colleagues of the complainant came there, pacified the accused and took him away–The incident took place within the four corners of his chamber and his colleagues arrived at the scene after the occurrence of the incident–Offence would not come under the purview of Sec. 3(1)(r) or 3(1)(s)–Charge-sheet and consequential proceedings are liable to be quashed.
