Legal Services Authority Act, 1987–Sec. 22C(8)–Electricity Act, 2003–Secs. 135 & 138–Matters relating to the theft of electricity–Jurisdiction to try–PLA is empowered only to assist the parties in reaching an amicable settlement and in the absence of settlement, the PLA has no authority to decide the dispute and/or pass any order on merits–PLA completely missed on this aspect and proceeded to pass the order on merits–Impugned order is liable to be quashed and set aside.
