Family Courts Act, 1984–Sec. 7–Jurisdiction of the Family Court as regards to the legitimacy of a person–Family Court has exclusive jurisdiction over a suit or proceeding for a declaration as to the legitimacy of a person, however, it cannot entertain any proceeding for a declaration of legitimacy without a claim on the marital relationship.
