Maintenance & Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007–Sec. 22–Order of eviction from the shop–Property in question is self-acquired property of the respondent no. 1–SDM was vested with the jurisdiction to entertain and decide the application seeking protection of life and the property of a senior citizen–Eviction was ordered on the premise that the respondent no. 1 was harassed, abused and denied the basic amenities by her sons, like bothroom–By virtue of Sec. 22(1) of the Act, the District Collector has delegated its powers and duties upon S.D.M.–Held, no illegality or irregularity is found in the impugned order.
