Hindu Adoption & Maintenance Act, 1956–Secs. 10 & 11(vi)–Consent of natural mother in adoption–It should either be in writing or reflected by a positive act done voluntarily and willingly–Just because there is a recital in the adoption deed the consent of the natural mother was taken, would not prove that it was indeed taken, more particularly when the adoption deed does not bear the signatures of the natural mother.
