Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 Sec. 8/18–Conviction–Appreciation –Recovery of 38.850 kgs. opium from the house of appellant– Provisions of Sec. 42 complied with House was in exclusive & conscious possession of appellant–Key of room from where the contraband was recovered was with appellants–Nonsealing of the key and lock is not as a discrepancy to cause these items are not directly connected with the recovery–No case of tempering with samples–No injury was found on the person of appellant when he was arrested–Held, findings of conviction doesn’t require any interference.
