Penal Code, 1860–Sec. 326 [Corresponding Sec. 118(2) of BNS, 2023]–Conviction–Compromise between the parties–All the disputes between the petitioner’s family and complainant’s family have been resolved amicably–Petitioner agreed to pay Rs. 5,80,000/- as total compensation to the complainant–Complainant has filed the application in support of petitioner’s case–Though the offence is not compoundable, the sentence is reduced up to the period of already undergone by exercising the Court’s inherent powers.
