Transfer of Property Act, 1882–Sec. 53-A–Registration Act, 1908–Secs. 17 & 49–Appellants are claiming the ownership on the ground of sale deed dated 2.5.1966 which is an unregistered document–However, same was compulsorily registrable as the consideration of land was Rs. 9,000/- –Document cannot be taken into evidence–It can be seen only for collateral purpose–Held, the suit was rightly dismissed.
