Evidence Act, 1872–Sec. 27–Scope–Memorandum u/s. 27 of the Evidence Act is not a substantive piece of evidence in itself and for proving the contents thereof, the actual words spoken by the accused have to be narrated by the officer recording information while deposing before the Court–In the event of failure to do so, the information cannot be read in evidence.
