Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973–Sec. 457–Essential Commodities Act, 1955–Sec. 3/7–District Collector rejected the application for release of vehicle for want of jurisdiction–Magistrate also dismissed the application with the view that the jurisdiction lies with the District Collector–Vehicle is the only source of livelihood of the petitioner–Held, the vehicle be released subject to certain conditions.
