Code of Civil Procedure, 1908–Sec. 34–Interest on award–Petitioner was hold entitled for 12% annual interest from the date of award to the date of decree–If the payment is not made within one month of decree, further interest was awarded at the rate of 9% per annum–View of exceeding Court that the condition of awarding 12% annual interest has not significance as the award was passed on 10.2.1996, decree was drawn on 7.5.2001 and payment was made after 7.5.2001–Whether justified ?–Held, no–Petitioner is entitled to get 12% annual interest from 10.2.96 to 6.5.2001 and from 7.5.2001 to the date of payment, he is entitled for 9% annual interest.
