Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023–Secs. 308(2), 318(4) & 351(2) [ Corresponding Sec. 384, 420 & 506 of IPC, 1860 ]–FIR for the offence–Prayer for quashing–Acceptability–Multiple allegations have been levelled against the petitioner alleging that by abusing his authority, he demanded monetory fovours from various venders under the threat of broadcasting negative or damaging news contents against them–Allegations disclose commission of a cognizable offence, and the matter requires further investigation–It cannot be said that mere levelling of allegation does not constitute cognizable offence against him–The allegations are required to be investigated by the Investigation Agency–Interference declined.
