Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985–Sec. 8/22–Appellant is practicing as a doctor and in a raid conducted, certain psychotropic substances were allegedly recovered–He has been acquitted from the offences under IPC and Drugs & Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act but the trial u/s. 8/22 has not commenced–Earlier, the High Court had quashed the proceedings under these provisions but the order was set aside by this Court and the matter was remanded back to High Court–Held, it would be just and proper for the High Court for reconsider the matter in the light of acquittal of the appellant under other provisions–Directed accordingly.
