Motor Vehicles Act, 1988–Sec. 171–Denial from granting the interest for the period between 22.06.2016 to 13.07.2023–There was a delay of 708 days in filing the appeal and same was condoned with the condition that the interest of period of delay of 708 days would not be payable–Thereafter, the appeal was partly allowed and compensation was enhanced–Interest of above period was denied on the ground that counsel of appellant-claimant did not supply the copy of the paper book to the counsel of Insurance Company–For such default, claimant alone could not be held responsible–Appellant is entitled to get the interest of period from 22.06.2016 to 13.07.2023.
