Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985–Sec. 18–Conviction under–Confirmed by High Court–Samples were received in laboratory with intact seals and the seals were found tallied with the sample seals–ASP in whose presence, the recovery was effected was summoned number of times but either service was not effected or as when he was served, he sent a request for exemption from personal attendance stating valid reasons–Further, the mere fact that the case of prosecution is based on the evidence of official witnesses does not mean that same should be disbelieved–Declined to interfere in the concurrent findings of conviction.
