Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988–Sec. 13(1)(b) r/w. 13(2)–Criminal proceedings–Quashed by the High Court on the ground that the preliminary inquiry was not conducted before lodging the FIR–Preliminary inquiry in the instant case was not mandated, considering that detailed information was already there before the SP in the form of the source report–High Court ought not to have quashed the FIR.
