Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988–Secs. 13(1)(d)(i) r/w. 13(2)–After receiving the report from the complainant, Police Officer G leaded the trap proceedings and, thereafter, he conducted the investigation–In a normal cause, if the same officer after completion of the investigation cannot had the trap proceedings conducted by himself, to be false–Such an officer will always try to say that the trap proceedings conducted under his leadership was just and proper on the basis of the facts and he will also try to bring on record the evidence which could prove that the trap proceedings conducted by him are fair and proper–Such an investigation cannot be said to be fair and impartial.
