Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973–Sec. 70(2)–Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002–Secs. 3 & 4–Prayer to convert the arrest warrant into bailable warrant–As per provisions of Sec. 45 of Act, offences are cognizable and non-bailable–Court has below taken into account the nature of allegations, the role of accused persons, the impact of the alleged offence on the society and thereafter, the scope of interference in economic matters by giving undue leverage to the accused-petitioner affecting the interest of the society and rejected the prayer of petitioners in a rightful manner–Prayer deserves to be rejected.
