Hindu Law–Streedhan–Which is?–Streedhan of a female is that which was given by her father, by her mother, by her husband, or by her brother and which was presented by the maternal uncles and rest at the time of wedding before the Nupitial Fire; and a gift on a second marriage or gratuity on account of supersession; and the property obtained by way of inheritance, purchase, partition, adverse possession, etc.–The gifts and bequets given by the strangers to a female has not been treated as streedhan of the female under the Mitakshara Hindu Law–Raja BS who allegedly gave the house property to testatrix does not fall in her relationship–Alternative case made by the plaintiff that the house-property was his mother’s streedhan, cannot be accepted.
