Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881–Sec. 138–Sentence of two years simple imprisonment–Prayer for reduction–Petitioner has already undergone for a period of one year six months and sixteen days–He suffered agony and trauma of protracted trial–It would be just and proper to reduce the sentence up to the period of already undergone–Directed accordingly.
