Rajasthan Excise Act, 1950–Secs. 19/54 & 54A–Conviction–Prayer for reduction of sentence without pressing the merits of the case–Petitioners remained behind the bars for about one and half months during the trial–Presently, they are in judicial custody since the date of judgment of the appeal–They were aged 28 & 29 years at the relevant time–They faced the rigour of trial for a period of twelve years–Sentence reduced up to the period of already undergone.
