Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881–Sec. 138–Sentence of one year’s simple imprisonment–Petitioner has suffered the sentence of ten months and twelve days–He also suffered the agony and trauma of protracted trial–It would be justified to reduce the sentence up to the period of already undergone–Directed accordingly.
