Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973–Sec. 167(2)–Order passed by Supreme Court in regard to extension of the limitation in lockdown period–Such extension of period has not been given to any investigation agency or statutory body–Prosecuting agency cannot claim self-serving extension under the pretence or cloak of such order–Further held, in absence of any amendment in the statute and without there being any remote reference of investigation or provision of the Code in the order of Supreme Court, taking the shield of the Supreme Courts orders to take away the vested right of an accused, is nothing short of violating his right of liberty–Petitioner is entitled for getting the default bail.
