Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection of Children) Act, 2006–Sec. 7(a) r/w. Rule 12(3)–Determination of age of juvenile–Relevant consideration–First the reliance has to be placed on matriculate or equivalent certificate–In absence of it, the date of birth certificate from the school, first attended and in absence of it, birth certificate from other authority should be relied on and in absence of all there, the medical opinion would be relevant.
