Insurance Claim–Theft of vehicle–Rejection of claim by Insurance Company on the ground that it was filed after delay of eight days–Justification–FIR was lodged on next day of theft–Police compelled the appellant to accompany while searching the truck–Appellant explained the reason for the delay in informing the theft of vehicle–Claim was verified and found to be correct by the Investigator–Condition regarding the delay shall not be a shelter to repudiate the genuine insurance claim–Impugned orders of all three consumer forums set aside and Insurance Company is directed to pay a sum of Rs. 8,35,000/- with 8% annual interest.
