Passport Act, 1967–Sec. 6–Penal Code, 1860–Secs. 363, 366 & 376(2)–Petitioner was declared absconded in a criminal case–Thereafter, his passport expired–Now, he is seeking to come to India and surrender before the concerned Court–If he wants to appear before the Court so that the judicial proceedings against him may come to an end, it would be expedient to allow him to come to India to face the trial–Directed to renew the passport subject to furnishing the undertaking that the petitioner will surrender before the concerned Court within one month from the date of returning to India.
