Motor Vehicles Act, 1988–Sec. 163–Impleadment of parties in cases where two vehicles are involved in accident–No requirement to stake against the owners and insurers of both the vehicles as in the case of Sec. 140 of Act–Option is of the claimants to claim against the owner/insurer of either or both the vehicles–Claim lies against the owner of the vehicle and the authorized insurer and it does not lie against the driver unless the driver is the owner also.
