Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985–Sec. 50–Requirements of Section–Held, it is not required that the search and seizure were made on the basis of prior information–Real test is whether the officer who was about to affect the search and seizure u/ss. 41, 42 or 43 had a chance to comply with the provisions of Sec. 50 of Act Officer should have reason to believe that the accused was in possession of contraband.
