Evidence Act, 1872–Sec. 8–Absconding of accused after the offence–Effect–The subsequent conduct would be relevant fact u/s. 8 of Evidence Act, however, such fact has to be proved–Mere absconding by itself cannot constitute a sole factor to convict a person–It may be because an accused may abscond as he might fear an illegal arrest.
