Penal Code, 1860–Secs. 498-A & 306 r/w. 114–Conviction–Death within eight months of marriage–Corroborated evidence of prosecution witnesses–Their testimony is consistent without any material contradiction and inspires confidence–Deceased was harassed with a view to coerce her to meet unlawful demand of Rs. 25,000/-–Prosecution succeeded in proving the charge u/s. 498-A–Appellants failed to lead any evidence to rebut the presumption u/s. 113-A of Evidence Act–Reasonable inference can be drawn that the deceased committed suicide by consuming pesticide–She was in the custody of appellants and died within the four walls of matrimonial home under suspicious circumstances–No interference is required in the impugned findings.
