Evidence Act, 1872–Sec. 65–Document in question was held admissible in evidence by Tribunal–Appreciation of–Plea of petitioner that the copies of registered documents and/or lease deed are not the public documents as these are returned in original to the parties who present them for registration–Sec. 57(5) r/w. Sec. 65(f) & 76 clearly provides that a cetified copy of the sale deed or lease deed which is compulsorily required to be registered, is entered in the books and index maintained under the Registration Act–It is issued under the sign and seal of the registering officer–After registration, sale deed becomes a public document as defined by Sec. 74 of Act and it’s certified copy can be given as secondary evidence–No infirmity is found in the impugned order.
