Registration Act, 1908–Secs. 17 & 49–Rajasthan Stamp Act, 1998–Sec. 35-A–Document which is neither properly registered nor stamped cannot be rendered in evidence but the same can be used for collateral purposes as per Sec. 49 of Act–In the instant case, the document was filed to serve the main purpose of the suit i.e., to establish ownership and title–Held, application u/s. 35 for impounding the document was rightly rejected.
