Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973–Sec. 31–Penal Code, 1860–Secs. 279 & 304A–While awarding the sentence for two offences, trial Court did not ensure the compliance of Sec. 31 of Code–It was necessary for the Court to decide as to whether the punishment of sentence of imprisonment for each offence would run concurrently or consecutively–Addl. Sessions Judge and High Court also not noted this error–Held, both the sentences would run concurrently.
