Penal Code, 1860–Secs. 307 & 452–Conviction–Proper Section–Appellants were armed with lathies–They went to the house of the victim and indiscriminately beat him–18 injuries–Three were grievous in nature, however, not on vital parts–Incident occurred because the victim was officer and he noted the absence in a surprise check–No intention for causing murder–Conviction deserves to be altered u/s. 325–Sentence modified accordingly.
