Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881–Sec. 143A(1)–Scope for granting the interim compensation–When the accused does not plead guilty, he automatically does not become liable to pay 20% as interim compensation–The Court has to record reasons for determining the quantum of compensation if it comes to the conclusion that it is a case which deserves the award of interim compensation.
