Penal Code, 1860–Sec. 498-A [Corresponding Sec. 85 of BNS, 2023]–Demand of dowry–Establishment–Deceased committed suicide by hanging–Deposition of PW 1 does not indicate any demand of dowry–Deposition of mother of deceased would not inspire any confidence to arrive the conclusion that the deceased was inflicted with cruelty for demand of the dowry–It canot be said from the testimony of witnesses that the deceased committed suicide on account of either demand of dowry or cruelty being inflicted on her–Conviction of appellant cannot be sustained.
