Hindu Succession Act, 1956–Sec. 14(1) or 14(2)–Applicability of provision–Property in question was not the self-acquired property of S–He came into the possession of property by virtue of compromise deed–After his death, his widow ‘C’ did not hold the same in lieu of maintenance–Both the husband and wife were not having the pre-existing right over the property–Further, C could not have been acquired the better right than her husband–Her rights would not nature into full-fledged ownership by virtue of Sec. 14(1)–Provisions of Sec. 14(2) would be applicable in the instant case–Suit was rightly decreed by trial Court.
